The Empowerment Initiative for Rural Women and Adolescents (EIRWA) is a dedicated non-profit organization focused on driving positive change in rural communities throughout Zambia.
Our mission is to empower marginalized groups, especially women, young people, and children, by fostering social justice, promoting gender equality, and enhancing community development.
Through our initiatives, we aim to uplift and inspire, creating sustainable opportunities for growth and empowerment in every community we serve.
We are committed to enhancing educational opportunities by growing our Girls Can Clubs to 50 by 2027. We aim to integrate boys into 30% of these clubs and develop digital learning platforms to complement in-person training, fostering an inclusive environment for all youth.
Our empowerment initiatives focus on training women in entrepreneurship and establishing 10 women-led businesses each year. We partner with microfinance institutions to provide funding and resources, enabling women to thrive economically and become community leaders.
We prioritize the health and safety of women and girls by creating 20 safe spaces across rural communities. Our initiatives include implementing sexual and reproductive health education and training community leaders to enhance awareness and support
We advocate for social justice and gender equality while promoting entrepreneurship and environmental sustainability. Our efforts focus on raising awareness and influencing policy changes that benefit marginalized populations.
We provide essential support for vulnerable children through nutrition programs, linkage to healthcare services, and the provision of basic needs. Our goal is to ensure that every child has the opportunity to thrive and succeed.
We offer supplementary feeding programs and skills development initiatives in schools, along with tailored education and mentorship for schoolgirls. Our programs aim to equip young people with the skills they need to succeed academically and professionally.
